Across the river you will enter to a completely different ambiance of old narrow streets, the area of Saint Germain de Prés is waiting for you with its art galleries, hidden squares and alleys, charming cafés and pastry shops, and obviously tons of history.
Stand in the same place where the guillotine was invented, where the first Encyclopaedia saw the light and where famous intellectuals of the time of Enlightenment spent their time discussing ideas that eventually changed the history of France and the world.
Your stroll will continue through the northern part of the Latin Quarter, where you will visit the most famous English bookshop of the area before approaching our incredible Cathedral of Notre Dame*. You will get to see it from close-up, go around it and see how the restoration is moving forward.
